Hi All,

Has anyone heard (or read) anything about a ratchet style shifter for the 2015 automatics being available at some point? I'm thinking something like the TCI StreetFighter for the S197 models. I think it be super cool to have +/- shifting in a separate gate like a lot of other vehicles have, instead of only having it available as paddles. Or using the ratchet mechanism to shift gears would be equally as fun.

I'm sure TCI will release something but with the paddles already there I dont see a reason to have it. Dont fix it if it isnt broken.

If we didnt have paddles? Maybe, but its 600 bucks I rather but towards a converter if im touching the transmission.

The new Jag F-type has that with the paddles.

Wait, so the automatic on the mustang doesn't have a +/- shift gate on the shifter? Wow, I find that shocking. Even my minivan has that. I thought all vehicles with a select shift auto had that. I'm actually gobsmacked by that. I suppose in the end you probably should keep you hands on the wheel and use the paddles, but I really am surprised that you can't use the shifter as well.

Good catch. There was a switch on the side if the shifter in the 2014. Now it must be the paddles on the wheel.

Paddle shifters replace the +\- spot

That Jag F-type shifter is pretty cool looking!

But yeah sadly the Mustang has never had the +/- shifter on the gate :-(
Not even the 2015! Which I thought for sure it finally would now that it has paddles. My Tiburon and Lancer each have those and they are considered "low end" cars price wise. Plus minivans have them as Aipaloovik mentioned lol

It could be something they come out with in the future, heck even the Fusion had it at one point.
