I really like the stripes but my concern is if I decide to take them off in the future would there be any fading. Wouldn't the colors be off where the stripes were.

I just order 5'x5' 3M ( hope this is enough for 2 stripes) vinyl wrap from ebay and will cut them myself. Will see how this turn out ^^.

Stripes on the hood are asymmetrical (tapered) maybe an inch. Straight stripes might give it a weird look and play on your eyes. Do some research before you cut. When I get home I can measure mine and get back with you

Maybe, I will have to cross that bridge later.

That combo looks so good. Hadn't seen it with the rocker stripes continuing on either side of the wheels like that. Just so used to seeing it below the door only.

IndustryLeech Nice!
"the two 8" matte black stripes came together with backing tape, and the .25" white pinstripes came printed together. We just peeled the pinstripes and applied." Were all the stripes one wide (17-18" or so) sheet that was applied at once? Or did they need to apply the .25" white stripes seperately. THe white stripes were part of you $70 stripe order either way?

Did you look into 3M pricing and products offered? Can you give a ball park of pricing and your understanding of potential quality difference? Like, what made yours NOT feel as good a quality as 3M?

Do the stripes taper? Just on hood?
Sorry for the pop quiz. ;)

Anyone know anybody that has tried masking and using plasti dip for stripes? I was thinking a flat black on my DIB might be good. I LOVE white like the two above, but it might be a too bold for me (it certainly is for my wife!)

Anyone done or seen done Plasti Dip stripes??

I have never used or seen in person plasti dip, to my knowledge. But I love the idea. I have watched a few DIY videos by dipyourcar.com that are very informative and well done. Seems simple and inexpensive

Matt stripes look too much like plastidip, I'd go with gloss.
