So I'm on the fence, but about to fall off onto the side of the black roof.

Any/all of you with race red stangs that have a black roof, either done from the factory or vinyl wrapped; Would you be kind enough to post a few pics from some different angles?

Also say if it's factory painted or vinyl wrapped.

Much appreciated guys/gals

Interested in this as well. Not sure if it would be worth it to wrap or just pony up the bills and have it painted.

I think wrap is the way to go for a few reasons.

It can be removed if you ever got sick of the black roof or if the vinyl got marked up or etched by some nasty bird shit. However marking up/etching would be much more of a problem with a painted roof as well as you'd have to worry about rock chips. The vinyl would be cheaper as well. Another good reason would be body shop avoidance lol..

Every time I've ever had a car taken to a body shop and gotten it back there's always something that wasn't there when I took it in. Overspray being the main culprit. I've even experienced this at high end Infiniti/BMW bodyshops.

Good point about wrap over paint. I hate letting anybody touch my car, but unfortunately I have a body/paint guy that I trust. Helps on the price point to :D

But then again with the price of vinyl, one could take it on themselves and not be out much if it goes fubar.

Another problem with paint is if you look at your windshield/ rear window to get paint into the groove area you'd have to use some fancy maneuvers. I'd guess that at the factory the roof is painted black before the windshield and rear window go in. Vinyl can be tucked down there much easier.

That's the one thing I noticed on the mustang in comparison to my G37S..in the gap around the window, rear windshield and the sides of the roof there was nice moulding in there hiding that gap . If ford added this it would really add alot to the final fit and finish of the exterior at minimal cost. It looks unfinished to me looks like after they installed the windshield and rear window they forgot to install the cover moulding...but they didn't that's how it is lol.. That's my only gripe about the exterior of the car, otherwise I wouldn't change a thing.... except for maybe a black roof of course.

Any particular angles you are looking for? Mine was the factory option and I absolutely love it. Really sets it apart.

That looks awesome.

Can you take a close up of the top edges of the window/rear windshield.. Also the sides where it stops in the roof channel. i just want to see where the factory lines for the black end.

Also any other overhead / side / rear shots would be appreciated

Car is absolutely filthy from the rain so don't judge! lol

Next step is a dark tint which should look awesome with the black roof.
