I've had my FF tune for a while now, and have my Nguage on my dash. One of the thing's I monitor is the Alch_learn, so I know when I can romp on it. Last couple times tho, seems like it's been taking longer and longer to learn the fuel. I always use 93, haven't tried 85 yet. However I put gas in yesterday, had a 10 minute drive home, took a 10 minute drive to lunch today, and then another half hour to and back from work, so a total of 50 minutes of driving since my fuel up, and yet the Nguage shows that it still hasn't learned the fuel content yet. Anyone else have this problem? This will get quite annoying if I have to drive an hour every week before it adjusts.

Umm...if you are filling it with 93, there is nothing to learn/adjust. It's looking for E85 content.

So I can romp on it right off the bat? Thought it had to learn the content every time I filled up.

Romp away. Only on an initial E85 fill up would you want to take it easy for the the ecu to adjust and relearn both short & long term fuel tables.

It should update with every fill up as there is a switch/sensor that tells the PCM to check every time the tank is filled up. I'm not sure what it will read out with 91 or 93 (mine read about 10%), but every time I refill the corn (which is every 1-2 weeks) the Alc% changes on my SCT with my FF tune.

casual driving will take longer to learn. If you do a few 3k rev hold as lund recommends or I personally cruise a gear lower and let rpm hang around 3k and it's expedites the learning..You Mileage may very

I can't find alch % ford all or 2008+. Wtf!
your car has to actually be tuned for it before that will be flagged as a readable value.

My FF tune is in, currently on 93, using up the tank so I can add E85. Anyone notice a couple degrees on the Knock ret while doing a pull? That norma? I'm thinking it may be built into the FF tune while running 93?

If you are seeing a negative reading, that means it's actually adding timing. Positive reading is timing being pulled.

Yes positive. Noticed today while doing a short pull. Ranged between 1.5 and 3. I'll be datalogging for Lund when I add e85 but figured I'd mention it here to see if it was common.

If it's pulling timing, that means you probably have poor quality fuel (just one reason why the car would knock). If Lund is asking for a log, go ahead and do that but I'd try a different station for your 93 fill ups.

Actually I approached them about doing it to make sure all is well. If all is working right, would we expect 0.00 on the KnockR or some negative number during a WOT pull. It has been really hot here so maybe that can be a reason? Mid 90s and very humid.

Did a 3rd gear pull from 2500, car was still cool not sitting here in traffic or anything. AFRs were in the 12.2-12.4 range, from the hit to about 4500 knock stays negative 1 roughly and timing trends up from 19-22* total. After that knock jumps to positive 1 which total timing creeps up to 23-24 then in the last few hundred RPMs knock jumps to a peak of 3.91 positive and timing hits peak of 25* total. Again I'm on a FF tune but running 93. Hoping this is how the tune is setup while on 93. I have the video of the ngauge during the pull but won't allow me to add it photobucket. During normal driving conditions I see nothing but 0 or negative.
