QR Codes on different parts

Was looking underneath the car and noticed a QR Code sticker on the differential cover. Also noticed QR codes on other parts of the car. Tried scanning the codes with my phone and nothing came up. Anyone know what they're for?

This^ . All part of the just in time process. A lot of these parts come from suppliers. If there is ever an issue they can scan the QR code and see which batch it came from so they know where they need to check. There is an amazing amount of tracking for one simple part. It can all be tracked back to the original source of the material. Down to which mine the ore came from for a metal part.
