Pre-face: I have a base model 6MT (3:31 gear ratio) GT with 11,500 miles that has most of the basic bolt-ons people do to these cars;
- Corsa Xtreme
- Steeda CAI (tune required)
- Tuned for 91oct via NGuage, soon to be tuned for FF
- MAK cat deletes (going on tomorrow)
- Steeda Progressive springs
- 20" wheels
* I'm estimating it puts down around 400-410whp as it sits right now.

I've been lurking around this section lately and after reading some of these threads, I've become a bit paranoid about the reliability of my Mustang. So in short, what are some preventive measures I can take to increase the reliability of the weak points of this car as well as making it able to handle more power than it came with stock? I'm looking to purchase a Steeda clutch spring to improve the feel of the stock clutch and also looking into better brake pads.

Are there any fluids and other modifications that you guys recommend to reinforce the drive-train? The car is driven daily and driven fairly hard at that.

Thanks!
- David

*EDIT* - I do plan to boost the car eventually but that's ~2-3 years down the road if I still have the car by then.

A lot of members swear by fluid change for the MT-82. I had plans to start modding my car before the problems started at 3,000 miles which quickly changed my mind on voiding warrenty. You already seem to have mods so if your having any notchy shifts or grinding I would change gear oil. Synchomax I think is what most are using. Axle shafts and clutches seem to be a problem with increased power or added traction (drag radials). No suggestions there other than be careful for that one.

Awesome! Thanks for the response, I'll be looking into some synchro-max ASAP as well as brake fluid, clutch, and diff fluids.

Just ordered a Steeda clutch spring to help with the "feel" of the clutch to help prevent any unnecessary wear. The stock pedal feels so numb!
