Do you have leather on top of the dash? I am wondering it is possible to removed the 2 soft parts on the dash (mine has fake threads molded in) and get them covered in leather with red stitching. Just not sure if they are removable??

I'm premium but no it has the same fake rubber yours does. I would consider it a blessing in disguise, leather on the dash would fade exponentially quicker than the rest... meaning religious maintenance to keep it looking decent and from ruining quicker than the rest of the interior. The rubber just needs a good clean and coat once every few months.

If you do this, let me know. I would like to see the changes for curiosity sake.

That dash top is 1 giant assembly. I have a PP and as yours it's a molded soft material with fake stitching.
If you were so bold, you would need to disassemble the instrument cluster, trim pieces, stereo bezel, and ventilation.

Thanks, did not know they were all molded together. I thought they were possible screwed or clipped into place. I aint taking the entire dash apart, screw that!

Premium has a fake leather dash with real stitching. It might be rubber, but it doesn't quite feel like it which is why I think it may be fake leather.

You mean premier?
Premium is plastic dash with molded plastic "stitching". I didn't know they can fake stitching lol.

No, I mean Premium. I have one. It does not feel like rubber but it doesn't feel like leather either.

My Premium dash feels and looks like vinyl with fake stitching (stitching that is molded into the dash). It isn't hard to see the fake stitching if you look closely, but most people don't. I've never heard of a Premier package. ?

I think it would be a major job to replace it with leather. It would be easier to do a leather overlay, but still a pain to do yourself. I'd bet a custom shop could do it for mucho dollars.

Turns out I have the Premier package. I just looked at my window sticker and saw the $400 option listed. I still don't think the top feels very much like leather though, more like very soft rubber with leather texture and stitching. Same goes for the top of the doors. It is soft touch, but does not feel like leather like the door card does.

Without Premier package the dash is hard rubber with fake stitching. The top of the door cars are hard plastic.
An easy give away for premier package is the double paneled seat bolsters.

Yeah Premier is an upgrade to the Premium GT. A few guys early on had bubbles in the cover, and the fix was to pull the entire dash out of the car to remove the left and right top dash panels! Big job for a recover for you!
