I am searching for this too... Sync 3 without Heated seats. I have a 2017 GT auto base
shoot me a message on the cost and part # - I find it almost criminal that Ford stops a part number like this and drives costs WAY up when the car is 2 years old or less, I thought there was a rule or law about keeping parts available 7 years.

The 15-17 aren’t currently being produced. Production has shifted to 18-19. We are able to get them for our customers that purchase a kit.
We don’t purposely increase prices on this stuff. It’s all supplier dependent.

Now I am worried that the 2018 Bezel won't work for me
was perfect too, no heated seats

I have a 4" Base 2017 Mustang.
I have what I think is what
I need except the harness/adapter...
I bought an 8" NAV from a 2017
and it was hard to find a bezel so I got a setup from a 2018
( so I have 2 head units )
2018 GT is JR3T-14G370-ABH
2017 GT is JR3T-14G370-KCA
not sure which to use but seem same
but not sure if there is a wire difference
I know the 2019 Base from what I see
no longer needs a harness not sure if
the 2018 has an issue but I assume it is
same as 2017 so your Harness will work on either?
is there a difference? Also not sure if the Radio I
bought is a HD or just a SAT from a 2018,

- I see a SAT Plug but nothing I google tells me if there is HD -

You can use all of that in a 2017. Our demo car is a 2017 with a 2019 Bezel 2018 APIM and 2019 ACM. It all works fine.

Do I need to get these Programmed?
So the 2018 APIM will work, I can send back the 2017 unit

2017 APIM or 2018 APIM?
and the FCIM??

Do they need Programming on top of the FORScan?
I was told this is not needed most of the time and what is programmed in the FCIM?

Originally was going to try and tackle the harness myself, even got 1 Plug from LKQ included with the 2017 APIM
at this point not worth my time Cheapest the plugs seem to be for 1 offs was $20 to $30

No, just FORScan configuration. In FCIM we set up VIN, turn off everything else.If you're buying a harness from us all of that information plus our install manual is included for free.

I need to get an SAT antenna I guess
I have ordered parts from here and there over months.
then I found this post...

Not sure if the Radio is an HD but does have the SAT antenna plug.
So I figure this out by using Forscan later by turning it on and see if it works?

I bought 2017 for $451.22 ( flawless Screen and Sync 3 )
2018 was $605 ( Screen/Sync3/Radio/Bezel)

and while I would love to call today to order what I need , I need to recoup since I am retired


my guess I will have been into this for $1000ish by the time I am done
then I need to upgrade my wife 2017 Escape next

Do you know if I can use a 2 port hub over the 1 port, I ordered a 1 port and keep seeing a 2 port around.
I am still confused by a VIN Program to the units is mentioned if FORScan is used anyway, I thought the VIN issue was with a Ford Programmer

Dual port hubs do not allow the port on the bezel to be used. I don’t recommend it.

VIN programming is a myth. It’s not the VIN we are configuring in an APIM. It’s about 20 different things related to how the APIM and car integrate. No clue what Ford Programming you’re referring too.
