Hope to take delivery of a 2016 GT PP white vert by 2 Dec.
Struggling a bit with PPF and paint coating options. Will NOT be using dealer services.
I have found a reputable installer of Xpel and Modesta at the high end as well as Gyeon Quartz, and Kamikaze. The exotic owners in South Florida seem to flock to him, but he does all makes and models.
Anyway, kind of "sold" on Xpel on the front fascia and full hood - all edge wrapped (no exposed PPF lines). Debating the full fenders as the frontal exposure of the fenders is minimal IMHO.
Your thoughts?
One of my "concerns" is matching the gloss between the Xpel surfaces and plain paint especially with paint sealer. Xpel is OK with applying their preferred PPF sealer/glosser or anyone else's and claim that even a hard(er) paint sealant like Modesta does not inhibit the self healing properties of Xpel.
But, when you start pushing $2-$4K for PPF and paint protection that causes me pause...
What have others done?
Thanks,
Pete
