Alright guys, I tried to search and didn’t find exactly what I’m thinking.
With a non PP car, if I get the PP dash, are the connections there for the gauges? Or am I SOL?
Thanks folks!

* Not arguing - just wondering...

Granted the IP loom in a PP IP would include the gauges - and would of course therefore have the take-outs for them.

And the circuits for those gauges would indeed run down into the inline connector at the outboard end(s) of the IP.

And that inline connector (that marries the IP loom to the engine loom) would match and lock together, because the S550 hard shells are generic from model to model.

But...

It's highly unlikely that the engine loom would have the corresponding circuits/wires.

Just an opinion.

That’s what thinking. I’m thinking of just digging in then buying the gauges if it’s there and they work. I appreciate the inputs!

Perhaps I am not comprehending what the OP originally said.

I was of the opinion that he has or intends to purchase a non-PP car -- a car which therefore has a non-PP IP -- and then purchase a PP IP (presumably from a recycler) and swap the IP's.

I assume that the PP IP would come with the three center gauges...and if so, then they would obviously be connected in behind, and the wiring would run down to the inline connector.

But maybe the phrase: "...if I get the PP dash..." actually means that he has no intention of removing an entire IP, but instead means that he intends to purchase the faux CF appliqué that contains the gauges, and swap out the non-PP appliqué for the PP appliqué(?)

If this is correct, then there is a small chance that the gauge connector is present inside the non-PP IP...but this is a dice roll to be sure. The company will absolutely fabricate multiple looms (IP, body, engine etc.) if they think that they will save $2.77 on a loom that does NOT have certain circuits so that they can install it into a car that does not require those circuits.

Further clarification is needed.

Sure enough - the use of the word “dash” was actually intended to mean “appliqué” or”insert”. That’s like saying “shifter” when you actually mean “knob”. But it’s encouraging to read that the electrical part can be accomplished.

Great find, ‘racingandfishing’!

Pull off the center dash cover,
See the connector in the center of this picture? That is for the PP gauges.
You will also need to remove the center vent tube.

Excellent pic, Sir! It's definitely worth a thousand words!
Is that photo from a car that has the gauge pack?

Yes, from a PP ecoboost.
