I did a quick search but didn't find anything. I hit a piece of broken off concrete curb that I didn't see in the middle of a parking lot, and it dented the cover to the electronics on the power steering rack. I'm assuming there is a circuit board or something behind it that got damaged as I have no power steering and several faults on the dash.
My question is, upon looking online, the only difference listed is based on tire size with different racks for 17", 18" and 19"-20" wheels. Is this due to limits on the turning radius, or is there actually a difference in the racks? I'm hoping that I can just swap the electronics from a donor rack into mine to avoid having to swap out the whole thing. I haven't opened the cover up yet as I need some security torx bits first. Fwiw, mine is a 16 GT premium PP. I found a couple of used PP ones, but they are a good bit further away (200-350 miles) than some of the others that are local.
Thanks for any info on this!
