Anyone having problems with their power seat switch?

Is power seat supposed to go all the way back with just one backward press? As long as I can remember, to just adjust the seat bottom rearward just slightly, I had to press back, then press forward to stop it from going all the way back. Is that by design? I assumed it was, until just today. For a minute the switch would not move the seat front/back at all (the up/down worked still). A minute later, front back was working again.

This is on a V6 w/ 051A option with power seat (w/o memory function).
This switch's wigginess was noticed as I am trying to troubleshoot a "Charging System Service Now" warning I now get after every start.

Is this by design or is my switch sticking. I suspect the latter because I am having battery drain issues.
I'll be doing a parasitic draw test later this morning to see which circuit is the offender.

I haven't tested my power seats, but I can say that I would prefer not to have power seats. When holding a car for 8+ years, I expect power seats to result in at least some stupid repairs.

Same with the power windows. The Mustang power window blips upon every time you open and close the door. Seems like a matter of time before that part fails, probably with the window down 1/4" :paddle:

If I recall correctly on my GT, the seats (both driver and passenger) just move fwd/rev/up/down as the switch is manipulated in the desired direction. The seat motor would only move as long as I was engaging the switch. I don't ever recall the seat moving in on direction where you then had to hit the switch again to stop it.

Playing with the switch this morning, it did physically return to off, even when going back. Weird that sometimes it stick consitantly over several uses. Other (most) times it works as you describe.
Thanks for the confirmation.
