I just did a quick test data log in 2nd gear and my car had 1.98 knock at around 6K RPM and wide open throttle. The car maintained positive knock until I let off the gas. I am running lund flex fuel tune on 93 octane. My timing was 23 during positive knock.

It is hard to tell from your datalog as you go partial throttle and then into full throttle.

Ideally you need to be full throttle from 2000rpm right upto the limiter and ideally in 3rd gear, ideally do another run at full throttle from 2000rpm.

Positive 2 degrees knock wont cause any damage as the ECU us retarding anyway and the reason for it could be your high intake temperatures.

Mine does the same thing when I'm running 93, Lund says it's fine. I just add a little octanium for good measure

I currently have about 1 degree of knock and Shaun at AED is trying to help me find the cause. Gonna put it on the lift in a couple weeks and check out the exhaust first. I guess the knock sensors will detect if an exhaust bolt is hitting the chassis which could trigger it amongst other things.

Would be easier to just return to stock map and datalog that, if the knock is gone then you know its not an exhaust bolt. :)

I am stock (only have a catback). This is for his baseline before he sends me a tune.

Ah fair enough, first thing I would do is make sure you get a full tank of the best octane 93 you can get. As our ECU knock sensor can go both positive and negative to either advance timing or retard it.

My car on the stock map had zero positive knock and upto -4 degrees negative knock because here in the UK I am using Octane 94 and we have cooler ambient temperatures so perfect for a little spark advance. :)

With all the crap gas around me and since I have a Lund tune that I'm confident in, I attribute my knock to junk for gas. Stations are switching the blends around here anyways.
