As the poll says wheel color on a black car.

Black (will look like PP with gloss but just the 18" wheel pattern)

dark gray/gunmetal

anthracite (dark gray but a bit metallic)

stock 18's.

Planning on using their new "top coat" on the wheels which is like clear coat for plastidip. (yes the below hood is dipped with the top coat, it's good looking stuff)

Indecisive if black wheels on a black car and blacked out out badges with tinted windows is too much black; or more of a charcoal wheel will go better. No matter what color, it will be top coated in clear.

(yes I know plastidip, should powdercoat or buy rims, but trying to get something (2 or 3 years) out of the $400 Ford wheel/tire warranty I purchased before buying new rims)

FYI I found a pic of anthracite dipped wheels on a black car. I think the black paint makes them look even lighter. Not so sure on anthracite anymore, may have to go gloss black.

Looks good. I'm surprised actually, they look darker than anthracite.

I decided on for now just black but with their new top coat/gloss to give them the PP wheel look; a true gloss black that you couldn't get before dipping.

I'm still debating aftermarket wheels or not, but I just can't find anything wrong with the stock 18's to get rid of them (plus I have a 5 year/60k tire road hazard warranty I paid for so really free tires, mounting, balancing, etc. full reimbursement no deductible if I get a flat). 18's don't look bad on this car like smaller wheels that came stock in the past.

The best part about dip is now that you have a few coats on as a base, if I want to go anthracite or something a few months later it will only take 1-2 coats per wheel to change the color; only 2 cans or about $12.

Thanks! I had him add heavy metalizer to the anthracite to give a shine or sheen that actually made it darker grey with that candy look..Yes, I am thinking with the money saved on rims, and staying with the stock 18's I can look into CAI/Exhaust/and Tune for the same money..good idea to stick with warranty you paid for for!

Yeh I mean it's refundable like any other extended warranty but $350-400 (whatever it was) wont go very far toward new wheels. I only bought it because I had a staggered setup on my S197 from American Muscle with Pirelli 255/275 and popped 2 275 tires at $250+ per tire not including mounting balancing etc. The warranty didn't seem like such a bad deal with my luck.

The cheapest wheels are like $2200 with tires in the setup I want. I just can't justify getting rid of tires with 1100 miles on them, and it's not worth selling them because shipping is expensive so you may get $500.

And I just put a $1000 ARH catback on and want to do a CAI and tune as well which is $750 easy.
