Hey guys,
Looking to hear from anyone who switched from the PZERO to the new Michelins on a 15-17 with PP wheels. What did you find?
Thanks.

The PZeros are literally the worst tires I have ever driven on. I had them on my 16 GT and had the PS 4S on my 19 GT before swapping to the PS AS3+. Both the 4s and as3+ tires are vastly superior to those Pirelli tires.

I had the P Zeros from delivery, through modifications to roughly GT outputs, on my 2017 Ecoboost. Switched to the Michelin 4S at about 45,000km. With a further 15,000km on board, I've found the Michelin's to be much more predictable and less squirrelly under acceleration. The P Zero always seemed to needed time to warm up, where as the grip is there from the get go with the Michellins.

Was about 58 degrees here In FL. a few days ago. Just pulled out, and while stopped at a light while making a right turn the back end slipped out with not too much throttle. I was kinda surprised.

What tires do you currently have on? I currently have michelin pilot 4s' on my GT and they do wonders. They hook like crazy for my fbo na setup.

The P zero summers I got on my 16 were the absolute worst tires I have ever had.
I now understand how the cars and coffee massacres have occurred.

The PS4s will be fine in 50-degree weather

im from Florida too and I can’t tell you how many I’ve had this happen to me on the pzero’s. It’s mostly when the tires are still cold though once they get some heat in them they’re fine although in one of the low 40 degree days flooring the car while going at any speed below 50 would make them spin. In the wet they do really good though which is a plus.

Thanks for the confirmation guys. I go out early on the weekends to get a drive in before all the morons hit the road.
Gonna get a set of 4S soon. I'm 3K away from payoff, so it looks like this will be a good payoff gift. Thanks guys..its pretty unanimous that the Pzero is crap. Surprised of that due to the caliber of cars these are used on. It's also unanimous that the 4S is way better.

17 Magnetic- where are you In Fl? I'm in Broward.

P Zero's almost killed me. End of October 50 degree temp. sunny dry pavement. On the highway at 40 mph making an under power lane change tires broke loose put me sideways under a tractor trailer and spit out by its back wheels. Totaled my 2014 GT Track Pack GT and could have killed me. Luckily I saw it coming braced and walked away with out a scratch only a little post traumatic stress and anxiety.

PZeros get a bad rap, they’re actually pretty good when new. A lot of the comparison between the two is usually also old age-hardened PZeros versus new MP4S, and yes of course the new tire is dramatically better. Cold temps will also be a worst case for a summer tire compound, even if it wasn’t heat-cycled out.

That said, the MP4S is a little more forgiving all round, and better in the wet. Its a really good street tire (for above freezing) temps, and exceptional in warm wet conditions.

Central Florida so the temps may dip a bit more than down there.
