Performance Pack wheel and tire sold as a combo?

About a year ago someone shared a link to an aftermarket performance pack wheel with a tire mounted and balanced on it. It was around $239 shipped I believe.

I've checked American Muscle, CJ's, Tire Rack, etc....coming up empty.

All I can find is tires OR rims OR sets of 4 tire/rims together.

Is this ringing any bells? A link to it would be much appreciated.

Try searching the for sale section. Several members sell there PP rims/tires. I bought a set that were take offs. Tires look brand new.

I'll probably be selling my rears to buy fronts in order to square off the setup. Not sure if anyone would actually want PP rears.

However, I'm interested in just knowing I'm not cracking up and that the combo I spoke of really does exist somewhere!

Why not get an extra set of rears and throw them on the front with a 5 mm spacer? Then you have 275 square.

I could but does the extra few millimeters of rubber alter performance enough to justify them and the cost of the spacers?

The 275 has an extra 1.1" of tread width per tire compared to the 255. Much improved front-end grip. In terms of contact patch area, it's in the ballpark of a 10-15% increase, depending on tire pressures.

Oh ok, that seems significant. And I believe the wheels are the same on the PP cars so it'd just be a matter of getting two tires mounted and balanced. It's been a while since I checked but maybe under $400 OTD?

If I don't have to buy two rims that'd be a nice savings.

While I'm at it, maybe upgrade the tires so I'm not paying for PZero's...not sure if people mismatch their front/rear tires though.

Pretty sure on the PP the front wheels are 9 wide and the rears are 9.5 wide. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
