Hi all,

If you run Amsoil oil, did you notice an improvement into oil pressure when hot?

I am thinking when temp is over 200, when my oil pressure drops with Motorcraft just under the 50 psi mark.

Many thanks

At what RPM? 50 at idle when the engine is at 200 is perfectly normal. I highly doubt the same weight Amsoil will raise your pressure and there is no need to raise it.

At idle, it's always been just under 50, when temp is at 200 or slightly over.

I know pressure is plenty high, was just wondering if Amsoil is more stable with temperature that you can see it on the gauge.
Thanks!

A heavier weight oil would likely boost oil pressure but I would not recommend that. Not that it matters but my oil pressure sits at about 48 lbs when at temp and idle. It raises to 63-65 lbs once I'm over 2000 RPM. This is on both our Hellcats.
