Well what a busy and productive weekend I've had! :)

Partial fail with the LED swaps but the strut brace fitting went well and today I stuck on the PedalMax.

Fitting

Well, first off don't believe the 'it takes 5 mins to fit' BS! About an hour is more like it - and be prepared to get yourself in some weird and (to any casual observers) very amusing positions. I ended up with my head down by the pedals and one foot either side of the headrest, holding my phone under my chin as a torch! :D

It's not too difficult to connect the actual unit or adjustment knob, but it's getting the unit and wiring cable-tied neatly out of the way that takes the time.

I fitted the adjustment knob down by the OBD (I think) port. It's out of the way so the setting is not likely to be accidentally moved, but still reachable from the drivers seat. I fixed it on with self-adhesive velcro squares to ensure the whole installation can easily be removed without leaving any marks.

Test Drive

So after I'd fitted the PedalMax unit and adjustment switch and ensured it was working I went out for a little drive.

In summary, very impressed. I had the car in 'Normal' mode for most of the time, but also tried 'Sport+' and briefly 'Race'.

In 'Normal' with the adjustment switch at about 25-30% it behaved exactly as I wanted; the throttle pedal travel was shortened by just the amount I was looking for and the response was improved. I then upped the adjustment to about 60-70% and ...... S:censored:IT THE BED! .... it really steps up the response! It's like you're in 'Race' mode, but more! - really aggressive throttle response but with all the safety nets switched on. Very enjoyable :D. I didn't get to 100%, but I think it would be too much for the road.

As you step up through the drive modes the more you need to turn down the PedalMax or things just get too frantic - on the road anyway. I'd be interested to try it on a race track, I'd be curious to see if you needed it at all in 'Race' mode - if you switched it up to 100% in 'Race' it may well just turn the throttle pedal into an 'on/off' switch! :eyebulge:

In summary a great little gadget that did exactly what I wanted it to do. The adjustment knob allows you to fine tune the throttle pedal travel to exactly what you want for the particular location/style you're driving in. In 'Normal' I now have the pedal travel I like - not absolutely 'go nuts' aggressive, but just shortened enough to make getting full throttle comfortable for me in my particular driving position - and with the adjustment switch you can turn the whole thing off if you want to. If you're having similar issues I'd say it's worth investing in one.
