My car is having this done now in Canada, can anybody tell me if all the parts are checked, the bodywork, and if all the tech is tested out, and I would guess the car is driven s bit?

I work at a BMW dealership. The PDI's here include taking the car out of transport mode. Making sure all of the fluids are there and in correct amounts and that the car runs well. They don't really drive the cars, only around the parking lot. They usually have around 1-1.5 miles on them by the time PDI is done.

Yup^ a typical ford PDI is checking tire pressure and setting it. Installing antenna if needed. Check fluids and remove transport mode.
