By the way David@Steeda, I'm thinking you could charge a small fee to repackage to a "wife" delivery box....it could say something like "necessary recall replacement components"

So the GT350 IM and Lund tune are complete and there really isnt enough runway in the Dallas DD to pull through the RPM range....looking forward to getting on some open road.

I will say the IM install has a few twists.

1. The threads on the 350 TB for the purge valves are fine threads whereas they are coarse on the GT. No big deal to grab new ones, but sucks when you are mid install and realize this.

2. Everyone has a different vacuum line hook-up and it is difficult for another to explain without pictures, even then it's a little tricky. A major shout out and thanks to Higgs Boson and Nick@JDM who saved my butt on Monday with pictures and explanations on what needed to be done. Funny thing is, my final line connections are completely different than both of theirs, go figure.

3. I had to snip wires on two harnesses and splice in additional wiring. The purge valve on the TB and the connector at the back of the TB on the top passenger side, this one was the hardest and wasn't even close to making the connection point.

4. Buy the silicone TB to air box connector before install. I thought I could find this at a local parts store and spent over an hour running around on Sunday...time I should have spent on the install.

5. I stripped the IM manifold bolt while torque into the head. I'm never this lucky...the broken bolt backed out by hand and the new bolt popped right in to the IM. I re-tightened without a torque wrench and will take a look a that this weekend at the Ford house.

This even be more awesome if I could see some pictures of install in the member projects sub-form! :headbang:

Love the mod list. I am going a similar route. I think the GT350 manifold/TB and ARH 1 7/8 headers will make a great combo. How is the drivability with the intake? Any surging? What air intake did you use?

Thanks

Sorry for the delayed response.

Running the AirRaid CAI (no tune). The GT350 IM and ARH 1 7/8 catted long system is installed. The car is driving ok, no fault of the modifications, rather I still have stock 19" wheels with the 255s and they simply cant hold the car. Lund has me sending in wot data logs but the car just shreds the tires through the entire rpm range in 1st and 2nd gear. Which sounds cool, but the problem is the car doesnt shift at wot with the tires slipping. There is a bit of delayed response in light throttling...I wouldnt call it surging. More like the first 2-300 rpms on any acceleration arent responding. Obviously I will need to log this to add data to support my claim. There is a lot to take in with the changes all at once and basically having to relearn the car.

I will say the handling is incredible. I am taking the car on a cruise through the twists of the Texas hill country this weekend and expect the suspension to shine.

The ARH headers with stock exhaust was describes as "so quiet" by the installers who were also trying to sell me on axle back mufflers. Personally, they sound exactly like I want them to. I open the throttle, I get rewarded with a mean sound; I cruise around and I cant hear a thing, just like stock.

Great update, glad you're liking the suspension and looking forward to hearing more about it after your cruise!

Awesome! Thanks. Lock down that tune! LOL.. Figure I got a couple of weeks before my IM install. Headers going first. Hoping Lund has all the bugs worked out by then.
