Has anybody here had their front lip or side skirts painted/wrapped?

I have been wanting to get my lip and skirts (Maybe rear diffuser?) in a gloss black to match the accents on the car. Has anybody done anything like this? I'm not quite sure how to go about it. I'm assuming if I took it to a paint shop they'd want something crazy like $800 to do that. I thought about maybe trying a Plastidip, but not sure how that'd look. Any recommendations? Thanks!

The texture makes it tough for wraps to hold long term. Additionally, the plastic is kind of hard to paint as is. It's possible with the proper prep work, but the cost typically isn't worth it.

If you want a carbon fiber look, buy CF trim. That's the best way. If you're not willing/able to wrap or paint them yourself, it's not going to be cheap.

All of the black lower plastic on mine is painted, including the rear valance.

So yes it is very possible.

As mentioned before, I don't think vinyl wrap is going to hold up...paint is definitely your best option.

Good prep work and some adhesion promoter and there will be no problem with the paint staying

Looks really good!
Can you post a pic of the rear valance and maybe a front shot as well.

Now for my comments...
I also want to paint mine.
Went to a local body shop I trust and have used in the past.
I was told they could paint the lower trim.
However, it would take a good amount of prep work - sanding the texture and primming.
Even then, they could not guarantee the paint would not possibly flake.
They recommended possibly purchasing the non textured or pre-primmed parts to save on the prep labor.

I'm thinking about getting mine painted right before Xpel and ceramic coating. Seems to me that would make it less likely to flake or chip.
