Any tips or instructions on how to use them? And when I’m done paddle shifting how do i turn them off? It time i learn how to use them.

simple to use, click down to desired gear and go. I mainly use them when merging onto highways from the on ramps or to pass people. To "turn them off" just let go of them. Your car will return to normal driving and shifting modes after a few seconds of no input from you on the shifters.

Hitting the shift paddles while in "D" (drive) changes the gear, but it goes back to normal automatic mode after a few seconds.

However, if you put the shifter in "S" (sport mode), the transmission will hold whatever gear you select for as long as you wish. It will automatically downshift if you go too slow for the gear selected. The ECU will not let you do anything that will damage the transmission, but will let you drive around at high RPM wasting gas if you wish. Put the car back in "D" to return to normal automatic shifting. If you want to go back to automatic shifting but still use the sportier selection in sport mode, leave the shifter in "S" and hold the "+" paddle for more than 1 second.

My first BMW would upshift if you hit the high rev limit. My second would just bounce off the limiter by clipping fuel flow when ever you hit it. I believe the Mustang will bounce off the limiter, but I won't swear to it as mine is a manual. In any event, it won't let you damage the transmission, but driving around at screaming high RPM for no good purpose won't do your engine any good.
