Got some orange peel texture on part of my car. Can this be corrected with a mild polish or does the clear coat prevent fixing this? Or is it the clear coat that needs to be smoothed?

Clear coat.

2000, 3000 grit and then a high speed polisher does wonders.
Yeah, need to get a polisher. My last one gave it up.

Do you wet sand with a block or or sander/polisher on slow speed?

Do care, the clear coats are notoriously thin. But we have seen some awesome results here.

Tape the body lines before you start in and do not sand very much with the 2000 and keep lots of water on it.

If you have never wet sanded or used a professional polisher before, I wouldn't recommend it. Easiest way to royally screw up your paint.
