Optional floor mats?

This may be a minor point but...does the base vehicle come without any floor mats at all? What do you get, if you order the optional floor mats?
Do they cover more of the floor pan?

I plan on taking my new TY vert down to the beach quite often and I am worried about being able to remove any sand, etc. tracked in.

I have thinking, instead, on buying WeatherTech full coverage mats to use when I go down to the beach. Removing them when I don't need them, as long as the base car has some kind of OEM carpeted mats.
