What Opitcoat version was it ( consumer or Pro )
Also who did your work? Certified Detailer by Opti Pro?
Ceramic Coating is the real deal but be cautious on who you use. The Pro versions is the one to get so always going to the company's official website and checking the Installers is important, very important.
From professional experience, since ceramic coating is the new trend and trust me when I say this, it's just starting and it's going to get stronger over the years with ceramic coatings having the self healing power very soon, already testing a few candidates, wax and sealants will be a thing of the past very soon, it's just a matter of time.
Research the not just the product but the company in this case (Installer) make sure that they are certified to use the coating and make sure it is the Pro version. Gyeon Quartz and Modesta Advanced Glass Coating is one of the best right now but Cquartz Finest and Opti Pro are good as well.
The prep work involved is what it makes it worth, so not just the coating.
You'd would be surprised how bad new cars are. Paint hammered, full of swirls and other paint defects. Black cars looking grey, white cars with no gloss and the lists goes and on.
All this shouldnt happen to begin with, no matter whether you have a corolla or a Lamborghini.
Protecting your vehicle for the long run it's worth the investiment for sure, it will pay for itself specially when you don't have to wax no more.
