Thoughts on swapping out rear side glass with the 50th louvred glass please....3k to do it but I love the look....torn between wanting the glass or maintaining the 50th anniversary appearance package look...

It's a kick ass idea but 3k is rediculous. I gave been wanting to do the same thing but I'll wait until if find a wrecked car.

Nope. That was only offered on the 1,964 LE's at the beginning of the S550's life. Unless there's something I don't know...upon doing some research, Levittown Ford has it on sale for only 1K for each side. If you still want to go that route.

I really like it and wish Ford had included it on all of them. If $3k isn't that much to you go for it. While I like it, I couldn't see spending that much on it since this is a daily driver for me that will get lots of miles racked up on it so I just got the Cervinis 1/4 window louvers.

wow, I like the glass! I want it too.
IMO the chrome is old fashion.
I remember we painted black all chrome parts on the cars long time ago.
Ford did the chrome on 50th ann. to mach 1964 fastback
If you have a lot of money do it! But you will never get your money back lol
