Is diesel on the road a big problem down under?
Has nothing to do with diesel on the road... It's 100 % driver error.

And apparently from stories emerging over the weekend only had third party insurance, so not covered for an accident like this....

He was going so fast the stripes got closer to each other out of fear...lol
Well it is at the back end so with an off like that the pucker is understandable and not surprising it still hasn't unclenched.

I wouldn't say it's a 'big' problem, but it's known to cause accidents. Like black ice, it catches out even the best of drivers sometimes and I just used it to illustrate that there could've been a number of contributing factors. It's always easy to just call out the driver as an idiot when they could have had a seizure or something. The facts - as opposed to rumour and inuendo - are unlikely to ever be published here.

Thanks for clarifying Denno, did you actually see this happen? Was the driver error caused by poor judgement or inexperience?

I suppose I shouldn't criticize. May have come undone on that road myself a while back, a bit further up the hill. In my defense, I was considerably younger and far more indestrucable back then.
