car has 17k miles and now have had two oil pressure switches go bad. They’re not leaking at the threads, but oil is seeping through at the electrical prong and soaking the pigtail and ultimately giving a “low engine oil pressure” alarm while driving, which is always enough to make you need fresh underwear.
Has anyone else or heard of these sensors failing this often? 2 in 17k miles seems like a lot. It’s only happened on this block which is an RPG build utilizing ford 5.2 block.

I'm curious what causes oil to come through a sensor. I know it's different but my Wrangler has the same issue with oil coming through the iac and I have no idea what causes that.
