Good afternoon, my driver side upstream o2 sensor went bad the other day and when I went to replace it and the connector piece was located on top of the transmission. My hand couldn’t reach to undo the connector, so I gave it a little tug and their is no slack what’s so ever, I wasn’t able to locate any bundle of wires I could undo to get some extra length. I ended up just splicing it together but upon further research, o2 sensors operate based off resistance(ohms) so I’m receiving improper signals from the sensor. I can’t imagine you would have to remove the transmission, Any advice is greatly appreciated

There is a push pin on the connector at the transmission. This can be popped out to get some slack to undo the connector and connect your new O2 sensor.

If you spilced it, toss it and get a new one.
