lmao wow! funny story, back in the 90's my family was big into car shows, I would show my 89 Saleen, my sister showed her 93 Cobra and my Mom had a clean little LX 5.0 convertible she showed. well my Mom hated when people (such as the guy in OP's post) would put Cobra badges or w/e on a non Cobra, we went to a show at a dealership in Delaware, we went our separate ways when we arrived to clean our cars, my sister rushes over to me and says "we gotta get over there and get Mom" turns out my Mom and a lady were arguing because my Mom "upset" her husband, apparently the man had a Fox Body GT he had put Cobra badges on, well my Mom told him how she felt and the man started arguing with her, turns out the man took up attending car shows as a way of relaxing after a stroke!!!!!!!! my Mom didnt back off even after hearing this, she said she was "sorry" but it aint a Cobra and he aint got no business saying it is

I will be honest. Before I bought my car, I thought about taking an S550 and making a cobra/terminator tribute out of it by putting a whipple on it, debadging the GT/5.0 emblems and replacing them with cobra and SVT badges and somehow custom fab cobra letters into the rear end (either fill in the license plate area on the bumper and put the letters there/move the license plate up to the decklid. or put the letters on the decklid). my intent was to make it look factory. I was super excited when people were trying to figure out the name of the GT350 and when Cobra was tossed around, I was pumped. I was/still am obsessed with terminators. Even read Iron Fist, Lead Foot. John Coletti was my hero. Then the GT350 name came out and I was a little let down. I really wanted a modern day SVT Cobra, not another shelby.

Now, after I bought my car, did some photoshopping, I realized it would look like ass and not even remotely factory. I remembered the valuable lesson that this guy in the picture has yet to learn. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should.

It's ok, we've all been drunk before.

I don't see the big deal, he/she is making the payments. It's their car let them do as they want.

I promise every one of you -- whenever I am at a show or meet or anything, I am always quick to point out that my car is NOT a Roush, but rather I built it myself in my driveway with a small toolkit for half the price. That's a better story than "i wrote a paycheck and it arrived to my house already done."

This is a disgrace but bags are cool.

I wouldn't put a Cobra emblem on my car either.

:I must agree it definately looks good having a 97 Cobra. Not a fan of swapping out badges, re V6 with GT badges. But it is a GT and they do not make a Cobras -too each his own!!!:headbang:
