Because I have the S650 rear suspension and Brembo brakes so you can’t fit 17s. There is no sidewall penalty for 18s as the Mickey Thompson tires for 18s are either 27” or 29” tires. For 17s it’s either 26 or the more commonly ran 28”. At 4 digit HP and a 3500 stall converter, I liked the idea of 29” tires.
