Well i came upon another great deal to cheap to pass up on haha. A local buddy was selling his Tune + aux fuel system since he is selling his car. The kit consists of intake manifold spacer adapter, fuel rail, port injectors with split second controller and all the wiring. I was going to hold out and purchase one of the new high flow pumps coming out soon but they are still being tested and look like they are going to be a pretty penny and like i said this kit is proven and was too good of a deal, just a little more install time but looks to be pretty straight forward.

I had planned on installing it right away but im going to be driving the car around a lot this week due to the holidays and to my family's house for Thanksgiving so will probably put it off until next week. Im excited to get some corn her soon though and finally feel the difference on full e85 wooo!

The seats are really comfy and im 285lbs 6' tall size 40 waist at the moment, im trying to do some personal weight reduction haha but yeah still have room in the seats. I just drove 800 miles in them last weekend without a hitch.

I have a few key updates done in the past month or so.... First up I was able to get the Tune plus aux fuel system installed that i had bought from a local buddy back towards the end of November.

I tried carefully to remove the intake manifold from the motor and only broke one of the white quick connect clips score! Luckily i was able to put a ziptie through the connector, pulled it tight and the vacuum line is good to go now and staying in place.

Then i screwed in the longer studs to the head and slipped the whole spacer over them and then put the manifold back on and tightened the nuts down to secure it all back in place.


Ran the adapt a fuse to the fuse box near the front of the passenger side of the engine bay and the wire to my split second controller box for power. Some others just keep the engine cover off once they install the port injection fuel rail but i wanted to try and figure out a way to keep it becuase one it can cover all the wiring to the coil pick ups and just looks cleaner in my opinion. I was able to trim the right side of the cover under neath where it sits flush and right above the fuel rail and the 2 holes that attach the cover on passenger side of the motor still line up and i was able to bolt it down there to hold it in place.


Then i took a trip to my local e85 station and filled up 2x 5 gal VP fuel jugs with the good stuff since i had ran my tank empty of 93 just before installing everything. I threw the jugs in my work vehicle which is another vehicle in the ecoboost family my Ford escape haha, and excuse the mess please.


The tuning has been an ongoing process for the past few weeks to get it dialed in and i believe i have just received my final revision. The car feels strong, like really strong and i can't wait to hit the dyno and see what its putting down now.

Also for Black Friday i was able to score some nice goodies i had my eye on for a while which were the Steeda rear upper control arms to get my camber back into spec and use my whole contact patch plus save me from premature tire wear. Also i picked up one of Steeda's transmission bushing inserts after a friend of mine tried it and had rave reviews of how it made his mt-82 shift so much smoother.

I turned to my buddy Mike at Touge Factory for a full set of front and rear Whiteline sway bars that come with adjustable end links. He road races his GT and uses these on his car, plus i wanted them because of the unique silver color that would match the springs of my Stance coilovers (its all in the details) haha.




I was able to install the rear camber arms easily in my garage and took the car to my buddy who is a tech at nissan for an alignment on their badass in ground machine.
I wanted to get this done quick because i was making my first trip out of town with the car to New Orleans about a 5 1/2 hour drive one way from Houston and didn't want the tires to wear badly.









The final alignment specs were as following...
front camber -2.5
front toe -.06 out
front caster 8.3

rear camber -1.4
rear toe .05 in

I drove the car on my trip and if felt awesome, even though it was cold and rainy almost the whole time :( making my car filthy.



Had a fellow onlooker come and park next to me.


Quickly after i got back home the next day was nice and i was sure to give the car a good cleaning, it was bugging me bad being so dirty. I checked out the tires and they seemed fine and fresh looking still so i guess the alignment served its purpose.



Fast forward to today, i was off one more day before heading back to work after the Christ-mas festivities so i decided to go ahead and get my sway bars installed. I went to my buddies house with a lift because i knew it would be much easier there.

Got the car up in the air and removed the wheels...



Started with the rear since it was a bit easier and finished with the front. The front was tricky because you have to slide it and twist it around pulling through the driverside wheel well until its free, just takes a little patience. Then i installed the Steeda tranny bushing insert while it was in the air. This is easy to do as you just support the transmission and unbolt the cross member and tranny mount slide the bushing in and tighten everything back up.






Once everything was done we lowered the car back down and went for a test run on some curvy roads by my Friend's home. Wow the car just feels way more planted and flat through turns. I would defiantly recommend to anyone serious about their suspension or who plans on tracking their car to invest in some nice sway bars. Another great thing is ever since I've lowered my car i have always had a pesky clunking noise coming from the rear over small uneven bumps in the road at low speeds and i suspected it was coming from the stock rear sway bar endlinks. When i swapped to the new adjustable ones the annoying clunk has gone away so im super excited about that. Also the steeda bushing made a huge improvement in the feel of shifting, can't beat it for only $25 bucks and 10 min install time.


When i was under the car i thought it was cool to see the intercooler tucked up above the APR splitter so i snapped a shot.

We'll i can honestly saw im at a very good stopping point right now with my car and just want to drive it hard and enjoy it. I've registered for a track day event with the Houston S550 club at MSR which is a local road course. That event is scheduled for next month in January so very much looking forward to that. Also i will be getting the car dynoed again soon to see what the gains look like after E85 tuning. Stay tuned for video and pics from both of these and Thanks for viewing my build.
