It's been a while, so a little update on how the car is doing and what's going on...

Use the car as a daily drive, and have 6000km on the clock. Car is doing great, no major issues, no squeaks or rattles.

Still had a couple of things done:

1) I had my DD side markers wired at my dealership so the leds actually work. I just gave my dealer the DD wires and they did a great job (wired to the number plate lights)... working great, but as mentioned, they do are VERY bright.

2) My Puddle lamp (passenger side) is also broken, just as with a lot of people on this forum, it now looks like a big fat pig instead of a pony. Called the dealer, they gonna check how long it takes to get the spare parts and book me in for warranty repair. As soon as they get the parts.

3) I have had a original Erik Stevens 'Stanginator' emblem long before I had the car, but ever since the car arrived, I just didn't know if I should put it on.
Even sold it almost last month.
Now today, I thought, let's just do it, if it looks bad, I'll just replace it again.
(SUPER easy install)

Must say, happy with the mod! It will surely stay on for now. Car looks a tad meaner :clap2:

Just a quick snap with the cellphone

Unfortunately I will not be attending the Lux event due to work... :(

I do have front parking sensors, but aftermarket. (official Ford)
You can see them on picture 14 to 17 in the first post.
Picture 15 is the button that got installed to activate them, when not in reverse.

He Nicolas05

Could you give more details about those official front parking sensors :

  • Are they connected to sync2
And last but not least, where did you make your windows tint ?

Thanks

Yes that is the one he got installed (X-Vision), I should have taken that one too.
No connection to SYNC so nothing on screen.

Yes, it's that one that I got... Ordered it trough the dealer when ordered the car. But it has been installed by ATAF Antwerpen.
No connection with sync...
You can see the activate button on picture 15 in the original post.
Sensors go on when in reverse or when you activate the button manually. Sensors then work for 20 seconds and go off automatic.
Happy with how they work, maybe a little sensitive in the rain.

Nice Stanginator :)

I still need to install mine.
Just go for it :-)
Was the easiest mod I've done. Just remove the front engine cover and you can reach the back of the grill without problem. Plenty of room for your hands

I'm putting mine on the rear decklid plate. Actually I already installed it on the new plate, just need to put it on the car.

Hi again Nicolas05

Why did you make install your Ford front parking sensors by ATAF ? Your Ford dealer didn't want to do it or too expensive ?

Thanks

I think it was smart to use a specialist. I let my Ford dealer do it and in the end they used a specialist who installed another system that does not work well at all. Still waiting for a solution and meanwhile invoice stays open and a "problem". If I would have known I would have chosen a specialist directly!

My dealer apparently doesn't do the installs themselves, they always work with ATAF (specialists in car electronics).
So I ordered and payed to my dealer and install was done by ATAF.
(So I probably also paid more, just because it went trough my dealer)
