Way back on Feb 28 I invited you to collaborate with me on this venture if it came to fruition.

So are you ready?

How about you round up our San Diego friends and I can round up interested participants from the north, since I am there a lot and you know more people down here.

Together we can throw together a flyer...Josh already came up with some ideas about cruise routes and we can finalize those. I can start a thread and keep track of names on M6G while you round up your friends on IG.

I have an awesome detailer who would be interested in getting in on this for those who are not getting the dyno. I got the OK.

Sound good? :)

Looked like a great event. I'll for sure make the drive down for a dyno day!

I have only been to a couple meets, and have had a great time!
It does get distasteful when I read some of these remarks. Most groups have little in common, except of our love for the Mustang. Keeping that way is important to me.

I was just explaining all of this to my wife when she looked at me and asked, "Honey, are you in some kind of Mustang War?" LOL
My response? 'Yes, I believe I am'.

Me? I want it ALL! So, everyone stop getting their feelings hurt, and let's plan these like adults so we can have double the attendance. That would be epic.

I'm not gonna promise anything anymore, lol, I am having sleep issues due to being off work for so long and basically sleeping when I get tired and getting up whenever I want. I was 100% I was gonna be there Sunday, then couldn't sleep, then fell asleep, so if my sleep pattern works out, I would love to come and get a dyno...we'll see

Hi Goflight2,

I want to clarify something important. I have no war to fight, no arguments to settle or animosity towards anyone. I simply do what i do and will continue to do so because I am helping people. I work 12 hour grave yard shifts 4 - 5 days a week and then continue to my home life. That includes my family, my lady and my close circle of friends. I don't have time to scheme or ruin other peoples plans. Most of the forum members here who are local have come to me for help and I've been nothing but respectful and welcoming of strangers into my home. I'm done being dragged into drama I'm simply not involved with.

If you have Facebook, please search "Battle for Brycen"
This is a 16 year old boy who has been fighting for his life against brain cancer. Hes gone through several surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation and transfusions. My next event is to help raise funds for his medical expenses to alleviate any stress on him and his family.

CCC Motorsports' Tech is a good friend of mine who has supported many of my friends an I through my events. he will be allowing us to occupy their space and time for Dyno pulls. Price/Pulls are undetermined. A percentage of each dyno pull will be donated to Brycen to fight his war.

Gio, who is another forum member, helps his folks out with their family owned restaurant. He's asked several times for a meet to happen at his place. Unfortunately they cannot accommodate our meets, so they will be catering the event with their taco truck.

This event will maintain its time of 12pm start till people choose to leave. This will best accommodate all participants. Klumpikat will be arranging pre meet cruises for those who'd like to cruise and an auto detailer for the rides. This will allow those who want to Meet, hang out and eat with out cruising to hit the dyno first and cruisers to hit it in the second wave.

As of now i have no details until I sit down with all the participating sponsors. Arrangements still need to be made and cleared with all parties to ensure smooth operating.
Details on the event will be posted as they come.

By making these events specifically on well-established cruise days - and now even cutting into the times (when cruises take place in San Diego) it is making it very difficult for those who have been enjoying the cruises for some or all of the past 6 months. People are now highly inconvenienced and are forced to make a choice. I feel some would really enjoy participating in BOTH activities. As it now stands, it is not even possible. I am not sure what happened with having the Hooters events on Wednesdays; it worked perfectly for those who wanted to participate in both activities.

This time, not only is an event purposely scheduled on a cruise date, a shop owner is forced to open on his day off to accommodate everyone.

To use politics (giving back to the community) as part of an invitation to these events is moot; we give back to small businesses in CA when we stop for lunch.

I feel this has become some strange competition that is not supposed to exist. We are all passionate about our cars. The cruises are all-inclusive; the other events should be as well. Scheduling other events at the same time is divisive for our community. And it isn't about quantity, it's all about quality: It doesn't matter whether 10 or 100 people want to cruise; it just looks really nice on the roads when there is a long line of us.

I sincerely hope a regular event day is reconsidered, perhaps Saturdays. Everyone should have a chance to enjoy their cars as much as possible, whenever they feel like it. Your absence at the cruises is noticed!

The whole point is to have a good time. The changes that have been made to the regularly scheduled event (Wednesday Hooters events) is unfair to the entire community.
No offense but this was unnecessary. I Dnt know blitz personally never met him and have never even talked to him, honestly this is what causes drama in the car community. You can't go to an event you can't go that's it. Now bring politics, competition etc because there are more than one event the same day that's a lil too much. Just my opinion Dnt mean to offend anyone

I get it, I was out of work for a few years. I now get up when I used to go to bed, heh. Took awhile for my body to adjust. Now I snap awake between 3-4am whether I like it or not, which is ridiculous because I go to bed too late for that. It is slowly killing me.:headbonk:
I know you have arm troubles, hope that will work itself out soon:cheers:

Blitz Looking forward to an awesome day of cruising, dynos and hanging out with fellow car friends while being able to help out others which is a common trait that all of us car people have in common. Looking forward to seeing you and meeting some of the local San Diego group. I'll work with klumpikat to help put together a pre-meet and cruise for those that want to participate and then looking forward to everyone coming together for an awesome day!!
