Tried searching the forums but didn't find any threads specific to this. But does anyone have a detailed list of things to consider and do for a brand new car? Just bought mine the other day and it's still got only about 50 miles on it.

Considering getting the oil changed today along with my old car. What kind of oil should I have them put in? Synthetic or regular etc?

What other things should I consider doing?

Thanks!

Note: What's everyone's opinion on this? http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars/how-to/a3113/how-to-break-in-a-new-car/

OEM oil and filter are cheap and good. FL500S and MC 5W20 Blend.
As for cosmetic stuff, polish, wax, cleaners.

I have heard of the 20 mile first oil change idea from more than one expert. It makes sense. I wish I had remembered it, since I went all the way to 1000 miles on my GT350 before it's first oil change. Also, I switched to AMSOIL synthetic, which outperforms the OEM at the higher temp ranges. (Heavy foot + Tx heat) Costs about the same as the Motorcraft, and they ship the next day. Everything in that Pop. Mech's. article made perfect sense, so I would just do what they recommended. Now I need to change the trans. fluid for sure.

So does the mustang EB come with synthetic oil or regular? Article says not to switch to regular if it's synthetic.

What about 1st oil change? My last car I went about 5k, but the dealer said 3k for first and stay with theat mileage schedule even if you switch to full synthetic. He also said to use the syn blend the first change and then you can switch to full.
