So, had some time this morning to fit the American Muscle, matt black rocker stripes. Been wanting to do this for ages & pleased with the result; nice and subtle.
Blacked out windows & a black tipped exhaust next.

No over the top stripe yet; gonna take my time to decide whether to or not. Gone off the idea on blacking out the tail-lights because a) the white ones have grown on me & b) I like the 'ridged' design on the lights & don't wanna cover them up.
Time might change my mind though ;)

Fancy blacking out the annoying amber reflectors though

Hate deliberating over mods, do it myself too much :lol:!

If you're doing the reflectors go red or like 80-90% black as anything less you'll probably see through!

Has anyone got some pictures of the rears in black? I would be interested to see what they look like, as I'm pondering that as one of my 'mods'.

Congrats on the new car, ruby red is a great colour.

SteveS did his in black IIRC but, they were somewhat 'light' black tints.

two different grades of blacking out.

Lighter, probably 50%

80+% (fly eye, so light still shines through them!)

Didn't get round to the rear lights. Bought the light tint option and it was too subtle. That, coupled with the shoddy installation i did on the fronts meant they came off pretty quick.
Might revisit with a darker tint and a professional :)

yeah, might be worth going fly-eye like the picture above, lets more light through, looks dark as shit, 110% legal, like the most amusing loop-hole.

Why not get the diode dynamic LED lights for them, I'll try and get a pic from my Ruby for you

Easy to fit and look standard.

Looks awsome. Thinking about doing similar but in gloss to suit my stripes.

What level of tints are you planning for the Windows?

I believe that's 20%.

I'm thinking a little lighter for myself - 35%

careful with tint percentages, some companies say 20% as it's 20% darker, other's do it as 20% light let through (which would be 80% darker!!!0
