Hi all.
Picked up my Ruby Red today and over the moon. I’ll attach a few photos in a minute but first just wanted to say a few thanks.
Firstly, to everyone on here. It’s been said before & I’ll say it again…. life savers. You guys have made the whole process more than bearable, in fact fun. So many more friends on here that is a surprise really… I never anticipated that at all!
To everyone in the process; you will suffer a whole range of emotions including excitement, impatience, confusion, annoyance, anger, in fact every emotion that you can think of. In no order that makes sense either! All that vanishes when you get it but I know that it really doesn’t matter how much someone tells you that…. It doesn’t help.
To Stacey & Karen; You guys really don’t know how helpful your information was. Thank you so much!
The car? Picked her up in brilliant sunshine & this colour is gorgeous. Took her home & took one of my Daughters out for a spin when the biggest storm fell on my Town for a good 20 years. Torrential rain & hail causing floods & manhole covers in the road to blow off. Great. Rain mode on.
So not opened her up in any way yet & don’t plan to for a while. This car is the same physical size as my old XK8 but my god it don’t feel like it! Done quite a few miles now & getting used to her.
New MPSS tyres for the rear being fitted on Thursday & a new spring for the clutch will be ordered because I really don’t like the feel as she is. New dash-cam is in, front & rear. Via the 12v socket at the moment until I get around to wiring it in.
Wonderful car but no surprise there. One major tick off the bucket list that I never thought I’d achieve. Happy as. Think this may be a keeper.
