are you able to get the SD card in and out without any problems with it mounted in the dash?
I think with the tape you can pull it out to access the slot if there is enough slack in the cable? Mine does not come out so I have to use the port on the front with a laptop

Well to access the card you will have to pull the gauge out. But I think you can still access the hard drive via the mini usb cord...

You have no need to get to the SD card once its in there if you use a USB cable into the front of the nGauge. Here is my instructions from beef and how I've been using it since day 1.

To load, treat the ngauge like an external usb drive

connect to your pc with the supplied usb cable. select diagnostics on the ngauge, then select USB

your ngauge should show as an external drive on your pc, simply right click the file on your desktop and cut, copy, or slide and move or paste it over to the custom tunes folder on the external drive.

That's it, your all done, go plug the ngauge in your car and select tuning and flash away!!!

Thanks
Beef

You can do this for tunes, cataloging, updating. Etc.

I just ordered some of the blue clips that broke off when I removed the dash. They are cheap.

I mounted mine in the Center Vent, but not like you all did. I actually used the vent bezel to mount the nGauge into. I had to cut the outer lip off the vent bezel and carfully sand down the inside of the vent to get it to fit snug. The outcome was a more factory finish as the gauge doesnt sit all the way down into the dash vent panel and has the factory vent bezel attached. nGauge is snug but I can easily remove it if I had to. No tape of glue required.

Pic might be helpful. Sounds like it looks good. Not sure what a new vent piece would cost but I'd rather not cut mine up
