Not an LE, but I took mine apart tonight. Very happy with how easy it was to take apart. The only pieces that are "melted" to the body are the rear deck, trunk blackout panel, sun visors/rear view, and side windows. The grilles and headlights come out in 1 piece.. and the headlight lenses come out easily too. Tail light assemblies also pop out from the inside. It's almost like they knew people would be painting them

Just need to let the roof cure so I can spray the body.

Not around here. Guess it ain't been used in long enough. I had ordered some to do the touch up to the front of #275 so I'll use that.

I went to a local auto body and paint supply, had them whip up a custom spray can of Wimbleton White for a project I had, it was about 20 bucks though but worth it.

I returned it to 3000toys...I highly doubt Maisto will be making a correct model. IMO, they probably think it's close enough for those who just want a model labeled as the anniversary car-->:tsk:

I'm sorry you are not happy with the color. We did not use "whimbledon white" and our model is just white. We will be producing other colors in this model also. This model was created with specifications provided by Ford and approved by them prior to release.

Got a response from the sales department:
We apologize that you are unhappy with this item.

However, Nowhere on our website nor the invoice or in our catalog does this say it was a limited edition item. We would like to know how you concluded this was a limited edition.

This item was made by Maisto which it not going to be as detailed as some made by other manufacturers. This is just the 2015 Ford Mustang.

If you are unhappy with the item then please fill free to make a copy of your invoice and use the shipping label on the back of the original invoice. On the copy indicate as to why you are returning the item and what you would like us to do. Issue in house credit, Issue refund, or exchange for a different item with the item number you want and a method of payment for any overages.

Google "MAISTO - 38133WT" look at the right side of page, it's a LE. This was the car showing on 3000toys when I ordered mine, now they're showing the wrong car, again, and charging a premium for the LE??

They (Maisto) knows they screwed up and are probably telling retailers a bucket load of CRAP...IMO!

As you can see from my photo above, the quarter glass has lines to represent the vented glass that is only on the LE. How do they explain that away?

Besides, when I mentioned this to the company before they started delivering cars, they said that the photo was supplied to them and they were going to make many changes to better represent the LE before releasing the model. Guess that didn't happen!

i just got one of these as a gift, it's in blue. after looking at it i thought wow, when did maisto get better? they've had some really crappy stuff in the past i thought. i'll take a second look at other cars they make.

side note, i loved kyosho, gmp and autoart. top notch stuff. i have a couple of ferrari's (incl an f40), countach's and they're great. i have a 1:24 gmp 70's trans-am and buick grand national (gnx i think) that are jaw dropping.

I'm glad some of you are catching what was shown. That picture was pure LE, the paint, the rims, and even the louvered glass. They totally blew it as far as I'm concerned. I really had high hopes that we would have an exact replica of our LE.
