machine or hand car wash?

I live in an apartment, so I don't have access to a hose!

I want to get my car washed on a weekly basis and wanted to know if machine car wash is really that bad? Honestly, the only reason why I like going there is because the machine thoroughly cleans my wheels so I don't have to do a lot of work. There is some break dust left over which I'll clean up myself.
