Having a hard time deciding between the 2. I want lower cost X-pipe catback that is not quiet but not too loud either. Also not too raspy, and light weight is important to me. On youtube Bassani seems to sound good but I am worried it wont be loud enough. Not many videos of MAC on S550's at all so not much to go on there. Anyone able to compare the 2?

The Bassani x mid muffler cat back sounds good with very little rasp compaired to other. There is just not many running there systems here, not sure why because they were popular with the 99-04 mustangs and under $900. Mac is only aluminized correct? Where as Bassani is 409ss

I'm getting my Bassani 3" catback with X-pipe installed next week. I'll try to post a video with sound clip (If I can figure how to do it ). I heard the set up at Galpin GAS on one of their Rocket's and it sounds awesome IMHO.

mac stuff has always been hit and miss with fitment. Bassani on the other hand makes a quality product and has for years and years.

That is the same thoughts that I had about 12 years ago when I had a 99 GT. I am really surprised the pro chamber is still around. I thought it would fade away over the years until it was discontinued.

Now I am thinking Bassani or Gibson. Anyone have direct comparison between those 2 with sound and weight?

Finally got a Mustang on the way. Now going between Bassani and Solo. Solo is over $100 cheaper.

I have the bassani x-muffler catback and it has a good tone to it but between 60mph and 70 mph it drones really badly to the point I have to add j-pipes or sell it and get an new exhaust. I didn't do enough looking other was I would have bought the solo mach catback. It looks good and was good fitment but the drone is at the point that at 65mph I can't hear the radio going up a hill in 6th gear. The drone is between 1500rpm and 1900rpm.
