It is not supercharger induced..... It's either a fuel or tuning issue.
could be the trigger on the bap as well

I don't know but I am tired of it.
when you put the key on, without foot on pedal. do you hear the pump kick on right away?

Out of everything I've read, all the cars with this issue appear to have the same injectors....I of course may be wrong but this is y I went with deatchswerks 95lb..
we have the id1000s and no issues, not an injector issue, we've used the ids on 100s of these setups, the dws will be fine as well

I had Paxton narrowed down as one of my choices...but I just can't until this is fixed. Those videos give me the heeby-jeebys in a 40k car
at the end of the day the car is cranking for 2 to 2.5 seconds, vs 1 to 1.5 seconds.

i could understand if the car is cranking for 5-10 seconds, but it's really not that long of a crank.

I was so close to buying this. Glad I read this forum. Even though it' not drivability issue, it's a 2015 not 87 Foxbody. I've seen people run these injectors on whipple and don't have the long start issue maybe it is the BAP. Whatever it is, has to be fixed. I can't afford to spend 5000 plus and have cranking issues. It'll only get worse before it gets better, unless someone can fix it. I see people leaning more towards the tune and the BAP not the injectors.

Member on here had the boost a pump disconnected and this issue reoccurred. At this point, the long crank is the only thing holding me back on the centri purchase. May just hold off till this issue is resolved. As you said "it's a 2015 not a fox body"

i have seen this intermittently on all types of s/c and turbos over the last 6 years on these cars.

it's not a "paxton" issue. it's not an injector issue, and i do not believe it to be a tune issue.

I believe more than likely, an issue with the way the bap is wired in, perhaps the trigger wire, or which wire is being used, the type of relay setup, the bap settings, etc..

we mostly saw it on the 11-15 with the programmable boost a pumps where you could set voltage and time in, which those aren't really used any more.

i do not believe it to be a tune issue, or a "specific" kit issue, as we've seen this on all brands with mulitple tuners over the years.

and, not very common

again, i wouldn't let it sway anyone on any brand whether it's the paxton / vortech or not.

we have self installed at the shop probably 50 of these kits and "NEVER" ran into this issue on a kit we have personally installed. whether lund tuned it or tuned by someone else

we have probably 400+ more on the road, just us, without an issue

I'm far from a mechanic and know very little about superchargers. But if it's an issue with the way the BAP is wired or the trigger wire, is there away to rewire it another it or replace the trigger

Jeff,

I know it's intermittent but have you tried starting the car with the pedal to the floor when it's hot? This is typically a "flood clear" it'll keep the injectors from firing during cranking.

If this works, it'll give you more info on the car is fat on hot starts, if it doesn't fire you know it's a delivery issue when hot. You could very well have an injector dripping, does the car puff smoke when it finally fires? Any smells?

in addition, you can hear the "pump prime" when pushing the start button, with the foot not on the pedal

Also, make sure when using a bap that you replace the blue 15 amp fuse in the engine bay fuse box with a 30 amp,

My pump comes on with the start button depressed. I can hear it. My car came with a 30 amp fuse already in. Also I removed the BAP during testing early on. It's not the BAP.

Mine does it mostly on cold start ups or after sitting for a couple of hours.

I have this trouble intermittently also. Can you post pics of the fuse to change and the way a proper bap set up is on a 15. That way everyone with this issue can rule certain stuff out.

Anyway one of you having the issue could remove the fuel rails and let them hang with the injectors still attatched. Cycle the key a few times ( do not crank ) over let's say 24hr period. And watch the injectors for puddling......it would rule that out.

With basically the same setup as z06psi I never had a long start with the car hot or cold or anywhere in between. Very curious to see what the culprit ends up being.
