I want to do a detailed inspection of both the exterior and interior of my convertible when it finally arrives. I live Minnesota and have requested that my inspection occur inside a heated bay in the dealership.
I want to be able to check for any scratches, dents, or marks on the paint. Because March is still a winter month here in MN, the convertible will be stored for at least a month until the weather improves. So I need to inspect the car before I drive it off the dealership lot.

What type of light would be best to shine on/along the surfaces to detect defects? I have looked at LED, Black light, and Laser pointer lights.

LED light, better yet, two of them. Hold them in an opposing angle and you will get any imperfections.
