MandM9999,

I'm in the Catonsville area just outside of Ellicott City and ordered from Koon's Ford of Baltimore. What part of Maryland are you from?

Mine was built on 10/06 and I was given a delivery ETA of 10/20 to 10/26, that ETA date has come and gone and still no car. As of now the dealer is telling me that the batch of vehicles that mine was in was held up in the delivery process. I currently have no new ETA date :frusty:

Hello Jim.

Get unfrustrated. The system is broken. Being a production, it automatically gave an eta. That eta assumed it was a standard delivery.

Our anniversary cars are not standard shipping. After being produced, they are going in a separate line to be cleaned, extra qc done, and wrapped up in a cover. After that process is finished, they are rereleased as produced to the shipping dock.

My number 275 was built on 9/30 and was rereleased today. Original date was 10/15-10/21. Also come and gone.

Hope this helps. Judging by your date, I think you are in the 300 series without looking at my sheet. I would venture to say you are very very close to going into rereleased status and awaiting shipment.

Your dealer will be able to see the status when that happens.

By any chance do you have info on #87?

Thanks SVTFreak,

This is my first experience pre-ordering any car and only the second Mustang I have ever owned. Every time I check this forum for information I amazed not only by the depth of knowledge that you and the others here have, but also the willingness to share. :headbang:

When you say 300 series are you talking about the last three digits of the VIN#? If so mine is 90, should I be worried?

You're very welcome, but my knowledge came from others here and my very limited knowledge of Google usage lol.

No don't be worried, the first 100 where spread out with higher numbers. I know yours is built but don't remember exact day right now. It's quite possible yours is already in transit. They are preparing and shipping them generally in vin order. I say generally because it's not set in stone. If not already prepped and waiting shipment, it should be very close. Anyone under about 350ish should be, but that's just my gut feeling.

Your dealer can tell you once it's made it through prep, and waiting shipments (will show rereleased) and when it goes in transit.

The ford exec cars where not vin order. Aka 1-25 aren't ford exec. They are scattered. The first few are, then after that they are kinda shot gunned. No idea why they did that.

Probably better if we don't name who the cars are going to for those that know. Anyone who wants to know can run the VIN through a service for registration info if they need it.

Very interesting, two automatics makes me wonder what they know that we don't...LOL!

Thanks for providing this information, I was curious to see what Dave and Bill ordered as an indication they would know the best way to equip this car, I'm grasping at straws here.
