Clearly showing normal GTs have the stock OBDVZ programming.

Above it OBC1S for P8R (LE)

Everyone over looked it they wouldn't label the LE programming as different if it wasn't something significant.

So what about us automatic guys? Now I have to change my order again...

Keep in mind the one you saw was test mule. Ford may have not put everything on that one to keep surprises?
I didn't actually see any of the pre-production models, but the pics. definitely didn't show that switch. However, I agree, pre-production is not what is typically shipped out so I am sure that there have been some modifications since then ... all for the good!

It's in the 1st edition of the owners manual, which was released in July 2014. I'm sure the pre-production models were built long before that since they were showing them as early as Jan - April.

However the regular GT I drove last week did not have this switch. It also did not have the incredible layered glass louvered windows which ours will have :) :clap2:

I know it was not a final copy.

I like surprises, but the long time between knowing/thinking/wishing a surprise is coming, allows for assumptions & hints to go wild It becomes a let down when the surprise is not up to par with expatiation's...Remember the less weight and more HP, I know I guessed different #s than what was delivered, some were pretty upset because of not meeting guessed expectations.

The description (Window/panel-rr Qrtr Vent Rr Quarter Vent Wnd-flip Open) of the quarter glass is leading ME to think it's a manual open...I'd love it if Ford did add Power open/close Qrtr vent window, more HP, beefed up rear brakes, and _____?

However it comes, as long as it finally gets here, I'm sure I'm going to love it!!! If my Kona Blue baby has anything beyond what was promised, (in writing), is just an added bonus; at least that's the way I see it... :D

You're right husker. That's why I mentioned the whole engine trail may be only special numbering to match the car for future collectibility. Who knows for sure. But rumors of hp bump are coming from many places. Unfortunately, until anything official comes out, it's a guess. Even dyno will be hard to pick up a 15 horse difference.

As far as the window, it would be nice, but I def won't be let down if it isn't. Same for hp bump. I already agreed to buy it and love that I'm getting the pp brakes in front with auto. Love that it's special. Love that it's the nicest car I'll ever have owned by a long shot. Any extra birthday surprises is just icing on the 50th birthday cake.

I agree 100%, I'll take it just the way it was when I saw it in person and not be bummed at all if any of the other __?__ don't materialize-->:headbang:<--I'm stoked about the car cover-->:ford:

Jim, I'm in Maryland too - what part are you in, or what dealership did you order from...and when did you order yours?

I ordered mine on 5/20 (well, I made my deposit on the 50th's birthday 4/17, but couldn't order till the banks opened) from Hagerstown.

Any word on when yours if being produced/delivered?
MandM9999,

I'm in the Catonsville area just outside of Ellicott City and ordered from Koon's Ford of Baltimore. What part of Maryland are you from?

Mine was built on 10/06 and I was given a delivery ETA of 10/20 to 10/26, that ETA date has come and gone and still no car. As of now the dealer is telling me that the batch of vehicles that mine was in was held up in the delivery process. I currently have no new ETA date :frusty:

Yes a few of us noticed that but we're not sure how it would work. It would be awesome if they are hinged!

...something else I saw on etis, it had the lovered quarter window but it also said "rear quarter vent window hinged"...
I didn't see in any of the pre-production advertising that they were vented or hinged at all so I've been VERY curious about that. I guess they could pop out at the rear like the old 70's did? That would be nice, but it would be even better if they were power vented/hinged!!!

Here it is, my good find for today...
THE REAR QUARTER WINDOWS ARE POWER AND THEY DO OPEN/VENT!!!

The owners manual (version 1, 7/2014), page 75 (Mirrors and windows), shows the following (I don't know why I didn't think to look there before):

OH YEAH!!! It's a small thing, but I couldn't be more excited about it. This may very well be a good solution for the 'reverberation' from the tightness of the car (or that 'thumping' sound that some have complained about when one window is open).

There you have it future LE owners, more good news about our beautiful, bad machines (I can only assume that the LE would be "equipped" with this feature; otherwise it wouldn't be 'fully loaded')! :clap2:
I'm gonna go and burst a bubble or two and say this is for the convertible with rear windows that go down due to it being....... a convertible:doh:
