Haha its alright

Did you choose Kona or Wimbledon? My number is 315 and ordered from Ted Britt in Fairfax.

The door handle broke yesterday and the exhaust just rusted through.

Fixed the door handle and replaced the front speakers. Next I need to fix the tailgate and exhaust. He wasn't made to be a DD at his age and condition but I try to fix what breaks and take it in stride. I bought it just for any days we have bad snow. Other than that the Mustang will be driven. The DC streets are not kind to that old suspension.
Yep, DC streets are not kind... Our "older" vehicles are feeling the pain - lots of $$$ put into those in the last few years.
Lots of rust is a given with the salt & now ... prune juice
(? bad news last winter, from local mechanics on what that's doing to our brakes).

I'd love for my new LE to arrive BEFORE the snow! Guess we'll wait & see. I've been looking at the P8R, among other things found on etis, lots of good stuff, and things that look odd to me. The police brakes are listed on there too so that's a given (but I presumed that was the front brake pkg., etis doesn't specifiy).

Well, when they do arrive, if it's not snowing, we should take a drive around the beltway to meet up! Mine's Kona also #322, ordered from Hagerstown Ford. Would be fun to see 2 of them together... is yours a stick or a/t? Mine's an auto w/ the paddle shifters which is going to be great around rush hour!

Alright, how long do we give them before we go bang down the doors?
Thanksgiving may be a quiet day in the holding pen! LOL

Mine's a stick and I miss shifting! It's only been a week and I feel naked without a clutch.

Yeah! Definitely! Though I'm not too keen on MD lol Damn speed cameras. Hopefully no other Konas pop up lol. We should do a dual line lock burnout!

I get off shift at 6am lets go knock down some doors today! Lol

I'm thinking that, with the luck we've had, we'll get there and they'll be arriving here... then we won't be here & they'll try to sell them to some sucker for 20K over!

You know, something else I saw on etis, it had the lovered quarter window but it also said "rear quarter vent window hinged"...
I didn't see in any of the pre-production advertising that they were vented or hinged at all so I've been VERY curious about that. I guess they could pop out at the rear like the old 70's did? That would be nice, but it would be even better if they were power vented/hinged!!!

Have you looked over the etis page for your vin? I think it had the most info. of anything I saw!

At least ours will have one difference, not too of the same this close - you can have the clutch, my knees won't allow it.
I played with the paddle shifters on a competition orange GT last week that came in Wed. - she needed a good test drive so I took her out to stretch her legs :)

YES, dual line lock burn - out, it'll be one BIG Kona blue blur, I love it!

Yes a few of us noticed that but we're not sure how it would work. It would be awesome if they are hinged!

Yeah Etis is full of great info but a few things don't make sense.

The Brake upgrade should be for the back since the 6 Piston Brembos don't need any more help.

It will be an Epic Burnout!

So is this a real honest to goodness car cover or is this just a transport cover like I see on some of the Audi cars on trucks?
It is a cover, but I've heard it was a pain to put on and off. Each car comes with one after they leave the Mod Center.

Obdvz is the engine code for the gt 5.0. Has been since 2011. Not computer code. Computer strategies change often and are 4 digit. The obc1s signifies another clue to a different engine for the p8r body code (anniversary).

Unfortunately, we won't know how different the tune is until a tuner can pull it out and run a difference against known gt tune.
