That's a good idea right now. If (big if) it is different, the computer strategy and tuning may be different.

I expect to find out more (via ford) soon. A few le's have been shipped and shipping is expected to ramp up soon. I wouldn't expect ford to sit on whatever birthday surprise they have (if any) for very long

There's always the possibility that the different motor is simply a stencil to match the motor code to the P8R body code to further prevent fake 50ths.

I can't believe the discovery of a 50th only motor on ford parts.com hasn't sparked more debate and speculation.

I know back in 2011, the 5.0 engine code was like obdvz or something like that. Is there any way to find those codes for 2015 yet? If it's true, there will be two different engine codes that they use.

Could be different. Ford parts has such little info and all engines have the same Damn part number.

I just had an interesting conversation with a dealer in TX.... He "claims" that they received the car yesterday, and it came wrapped (as we all know, so it makes it plausible), I asked for visual proof and he says that he'll text me a picture of "said" car.

I'm skeptical because as far as we all know, they still haven't been shipped.

Please ask him the vin number! It's possible. Rumor is they are starting to ship.

Also ask if it came by truck from the plant or rail please

That's two pieces of evidence if that is true. That resembles a computer strategy code but is one digit too long. And as far as I know, those are 3 letters and 1 number. So it's ruled out.
