That is incorrect Mr. SVTFreak. For modern manufacturing plants, the cars are sent through several ovens to bake the paint and expedite the curing process. The cars are cured before they even leave the paint shop. That rule applies to paint repairs and other 3rd party paint jobs that do not completely cure paint. So feel free to quickly add protection to your paint! :D

I certainly do appreciate you telling me that! I will be doing exactly that then.

And use the lubricant liberally. If it's not gliding, you're doing it wrong. I also think you can make more spray with dish soap and water if you run out.

Start here, http://www.detailedimage.com/Auto-Detailing-Guide/Clay-Bar/ or google clay bar detailing. Autogeek and others have good how to videos. The most important thing I cannot over stress is buy good fine detailing clay (doesn't have to be the most expensive) and if you drop it, never ever think you can clean it...toss it no matter what you paid.
:amen:

If in doubt, throw it out! Grit in your clay will cause a lot of harm.

I'd buy two.

:threadjacked:

This should all go to a detailing thread.

Sorry. This is what I thought you where referring to. But even around here, 11+ 5.0's are not super common.

Oh and make that 50 of the first 270 that I've checked on window stickers for are going to Mexico. I think I have them all through 10/9 right now. More probably get generated this week.

Hi SVTFreak, I'm from Mexico... How did you get to know that 50 are going to Mexico? How can I track those 50? I want to know of those 50, how many are WW auto's and how many are WW manual's? I don't have yet my vin...And I'm going crazy...

Thanks,
sanluis09

Just don't use dawn unless you already have wax or polish you want off. It will take all polish/wax off. It is great to use after your first year and a waxed serface. Best lube is just car wash soap with a low PH, litterly just a few drops of soap to about 16 ounces.

Many thanks MustangChief! The thing is that I didn't know if my dealer's order is a manual or an auto....until know....thanks again!

BTW, do you have the Destination of each one? I mean, the exact Mexico dealer that is going to receive each of them? And when is the ETA?

Thank you

Actually, the clay car is gonna take it off also. So dawn is very good for clay bar. You should be waxing after anyway.

There are currently 42 white autos and 8 blue autos. I am unsure where they are going as far as state or dealership. That spot in the source code is left blank in the few I checked.

Right, the paint will be naked after the clay bar, so it needs some protection added.
