Launch Control not available when Traction Control is off

Hey Guys and Girls,

I noticed that after running the 91 Octane and JLT tune on my SCT X4 that my launch control no longer works if the traction control is turned off. Is this something that happens when running tunes? Or am I doing something wrong somewhere along the line? Thanks

I don't think so man. I use to launch with Advanc Trac on Sport mode and traction control was off. Now it doesn't even let me toggle Advanc Trac

This is fact... was messing with my MT/GT the other day in the rain LC does not work with TC completely off..... it will work in sport mode though....

IIRC, Launch Control isnt just controlling the max rpm before engaging. It monitors wheel spin once moving and makes adjustments to optimize traction.

Wow, really? That was a major mess up. I never leave traction control on when I'm racing. Weird.

Traction control isn't off in Sport mode, just reduced. As a result, the light is on to show that full TC isn't on.

Just went out to the garage and confirmed that LC works with AdvanceTrac all the way off in my 2016 MGT base.

Now just turn TC off and LC will disable and the "LC" will be replaced by "RPM".

Hmmm... I'm not sure what you mean. I held the car in place with my foot on the brake, shifter in first, held down the TC button for five seconds, dash said AdvanceTrac off, LC was still lit on the dash, I revved the motor and it stopped at the preset RPMs.

Advance Trac is different than TC.

Tap the TC button, TC says off. Hold down the TV button, and eventually Advance Trac turns off.
