Just curious if any EB owners have tried the K&N 33-5029 Replacement Air Filter? It's just the drop in type, not a CAI with a new air box.

I had a K&N filter in my '11 GT and it made a world of difference. If anybody has it, how is it? Any big difference in fuel efficiency or turbo sound? I haven't seen it mentioned in the forums yet.

I have one, and will be sticking with it. Mustang has a good way of drawing air to the box so most gains are coming from the filter.

Can you hear the turbo sound more like you can with a new air box?

You can hear a bit more pulling of air, but its not like an open intake. But I did feel a difference.

The stock airbox is designed fairly well. The recommended order of mods is usually a tune, FMIC, downpipe, cat-back, and then intake. If you're still primarily stock'ish, I'd recommend doing a panel filter until you get the other more restrictive parts of the car opened up a bit.

Green makes some really nice, quality filters too. Green EcoBoost Mustang Replacement Panel Filter

Thanks for all of the great info!
I'm really leaning towards a full CAI, but that Green filter looks pretty good for the interim.

Thanks again all!

No, his stock tune map accounts for an intake and cat-back. Adam can correct me if I'm wrong.
